I have removed those from the computer.Īnyway, I followed the steps from the FAQ and am now down to Hijack this.
I just got a Kindle yesterday and installed a few (seemingly legitimate) programs to convert PDF to MOBI files. This time though, popups are occurring through an IE window.though IE itself isn't open! Seemed to work.for about 5 minutes, and now we're back to the clicking sound and deselected windows. So after a scan with AVG (which had always been running) I tried a System Restore, which I've never tried before. The other problem was that whatever window I was working on was suddenly deselected. Sure enough, task manager said that IE was running.
The sound was on and I kept hearing the "window opening sound" of Internet Explorer. This morning I woke up and began work on some PowerPoint presentations as I do most mornings - this is on my home computer.
